Why Pandora's Box?

In Greek mythology Pandora is the first woman given a box full of misery and evil. The series is named Pandora's box to highlight some of the misfortunes that the world seems to heap upon women.

This is not a series discussing the legal issues (an upcoming series) first we need to document actual instances of the injustices meted out against women.
